| Efforts
to get Electro Homoeopathy started by Dr. N.L.Sinha in 1947 as a result of which
Goverment of U.P. had given a trial case of mixed leprosy patient named Hidayat
Ullah who was suffering from leprosy for twelve years and was an indoor patient
of leper hospital for six years. This patient was successfully treated by
Dr. N.L. Sinha and in nine months, the patient was radically cured. Since
the U.P. Govt. was not prepared to adopt Electro Homoeopathy in Leper Hospitals
nor recognize this medical system, Dr. N.L. Sinha was forced to undergo a fast
onto death which lasted for thirty days and Dr. Sinha lost forty-three pounds
in weight. Ultimately, the Secretary, Medical Department wrote a letter to Dr.
Sinha to get Electro Homoeopathy generally recognised and only then the Govt.
would consider the recognition of Electro Homoeopathy. Then Dr. N.L. Sinha
starting inviting patients of incurable diseases for one weeks free treatment
to show the efficacy of Electro Homoeopathy. In 1960 during a Demostrative conference
of Electro Homoeopathy, after seeing the marvellous and miraculous results, the
conference honoured Dr. N.L. Sinha with the title of Masih-ul Hind. By the
year 1973 Homoeopathy, Unani and Ayurvedic systems were granted official recognition
by Union of India. Dr N.L. Sinha went to his heavenly abode on 30.08.1979
and his son Dr. V.B. Sinha took over as Vice Chancellor of National University
